We have had a nice harvest of some dandy bucks so far this season here in Montcalm county.   Congratulations to all of our successful hunters!  Harry Hucklebury's 8 point,  Steve Avery's 8 point,  Tom Gittus's 12 point,  James Moran's 14 point,  Ryan Christensen's 8 point and Derek Bucholz's 13 point were all impressive animals anyone would be proud to harvest.   While I have not personally seen as many deer harvested this season, the quality of the animals I have seen has been high.   It is especially gratifying to see all of the young hunters out there learning valuable skills and experiencing the beauty of our Michigan woods.  It is great to know that our proud tradition of hunting is alive and well in Michigan's families.
