The February issue of Woods-N-Water News is out and includes more big buck stories including Tim Woodards, Hillsdale Co. 11-pt, Mike King's Lapeer Co. 13-pt, Hunter Mathie's Calhoun Co. 13-pt, Scott Kerr's Hillsdale Co. 15-pt and Calib Stewart's trophy 11-point that he shot on State land in the Grayling area.   

Big Buck Pole Final Standings

The standings you curently see on line or the unofficial standings from the registration locations.  The final standings will be posted once we measure the top bucks at the Regional prize parties.  Then the official results will be posted.  Currently only the South Central Standings are final.  We had approximately 250 people attend at the Dearth Center in Coldwater.  We had a great time.  I look forward to meeting everyone at the other parties coming up.  Tim

Allright going to the party at the ball joint bringing my dad and my best friend to check things out and maybe get sone pointers on hunting my property next year(sorry bout the typing, only one handed after surgery). didn't do much hunting this year wish i could have gotten out more but gotta work to pay the bills. saw a lot of dencent size bucks at end of season but nothin really with a good rack. i'm still learning my lands and how their moving around but just a bad year for me. corn came in late and had a couple of hunters i had to kick off my land, which really didn't help.

Is bait legal or not?  I think that it is not, but I see it at gas stations all over.  The best was the other day when I saw a "Deer Processing" place with ear corn and shelled corn for sale in front of the deer processing pole barn.

Check out the new information on the contest rules and prizes.  We are adding more prizes everyday.  The 45cal. CVA Muzzleloader's are awesome.....  in addition to the hunts from Clarkrange Hunting Lodge in Tennessee and Trophy Buck Outfitter's in Illinois we are going to have fun at the parties in January hearing everyone's hunting stories and giving it all away.  

If anyone would like an electronic flyer to send to you buddies please let me know and I'll send one out to you.

We will be re-scoring the top 15 bucks at each party....so bring your rack....we also will have people come up on stage to tell your story....Tim

We have an entry that was just faxed over that is the biggest buck in the contest from Portage.  It will be on line tomorrow with the score and then the picture will be on later in the day.....a score of 66.3/8  Tim

should youth be seperate of adults

My son entered in his 8 point buck that he got with his bow.   Should he be in a seperate class for youths since he is only 13?   They have him in with all the adults.   Does it matter as far as the rating goes?
