I'm posting the link to the video of me and my good friend's doe hunt from this week. We both had tags and freezers to fill so we both brought our bows and decided to go for a double. We had the deer patterned well along the edge of a cedar swamp and what a great afternoon to be in the woods! The video is a bit lengthy but is good quality and has great content, Hope you enjoy!
http://www.wildcast.tv/play.php?vid=557Ok, so we made through the deer season, harvested a couple of does and have passed on a good number of young bucks that in past years we might have taken. So much for not getting a chance at the big boy. I know you are sort of down on your self for not shooting that young buck but after all he will be bigger next year! All I can tell you is good job and next year there will be that many more older bucks out there because of your sportsmenship.
Now the big question! Where in this late season am I going to find a nice buck to enter into this Big Buck Pole contest?
I think that they should score the deer the normal way, that way you would know your deers real score, and there should be different groups. Archery, Shotgun, muzzleloader, Hand gun. Because i dont like to see the archery deer fall way down the list to the deer shot with guns.
Was wondering if everyone who is entered in the contest is supposed to bring there rack to the awards?
